Rye business gathered at the Brewery Yard Club last night, for a Festive Soiree hosted by
the Rye Chamber. The networking event was the first in what is hoped to be a regular
opportunity for business owners to network in a relaxed and informal environment.
In a bid to attract new members the event was open to all businesses in the town and the
Chamber was pleased to welcome some new faces. With live music from Logan Wilson,
delicious canapes, cupcakes from Baked By Sophie, and wine kindly provided by The
Mermaid Inn, the evening was an enjoyable start to the festive season.
With key businesses in the room, the Chamber also took the opportunity to poll attendees
in order to benchmark feeling on current trading conditions on the run up to Christmas and
those anticipated for the first quarter of 2023. The Chamber intends to lobby local MPs and
parliamentary candidates with those findings and they will also be available to members
shortly.
Jane Brook, Rye Chamber Chair said; “We’re very pleased that our first event of this kind
was so well received. We want to build better relations with the towns businesses and
encourage the membership to grow. It’s only through greater collaboration, and joined-up
thinking that we will ensure the town thrives through difficult times and we’re committed to
facilitating those relationships.”
